Serenitys Tips On Saging~

First of all you can use Sage for more then clearing a space. Sage is also used in cleansing your personal items, Clearing out negative energy in a room, And helping with Paranormal Activity.

~Saging~
There is more then one way you can use Sage to clear a space of its negative energy.
1) Use a Sage Smudge stick.
2) Use a Sage Spray.
3) Use a Sage Candle.

Using a Smudge Stick~
You will need a Abalone shell and your Smudge Stick. You can Purchase Smudge Sticks at Your Local Herbalist Store, New Age Store, And some Etsy stores sell them also.  Abalone Shells you can find just about anywhere...If you cant find a Abalone Shell to use you can use a dish also. Saging Smudge Sticks are sold in several different varietys you can get White Sage, Sage with Lavender...etc. Sage with Lavender is my personal favorite because Lavender has a calming effect and Sage has a very strong scent. Alot of people say it smells like Marijuana, I think it smells like  a skunk..lol.  The Lavender helps make the smell not so strong so I prefer the Smudge sticks with Lavender.

To Begin Saging~
You will need to open 2-3 windows for each level of your house. The windows need to be opened so the energy has someplace to go to. In using the Smudge Stick light at the top it might take a few tries.  Use from the floor to ceiling.  Make sure you get everywhere, Closets, Attics, All small hidden spaces. Make sure you are holding your Abalone Shell below your Smudging stick to catch any ash that may fall.  As you are Saging if you are Saging to rid yourself of Paranormal Activity or Negative energy you can say something as you are Saging LIKE "This is my house PLEASE LEAVE" You need to be firm when you are saying this because if your not firm and strong in your voice the Negative energy Or Paranormal Activity might not take you seriously.  If you are just Smudging to clear a room in general say what you wish or you dont have to say anything, Or you can say Prayer etc.

~It is always good to Sage in a circular motion so you are trapping the energy so it has no where to go except out your open window. After you are done Sage-ing your entire house  use the leftover ash in the Abalone shell and sprinkle it around the outside of your house . This adds extra protection and helps prevent the Negative energy from coming back in.  I also suggest you say some sort of Protection Prayer etc Inside your  house and make sure to burn a white candle for purification let it burn until it is out. I also sometimes burn Dragons Blood Incense while I am Saging the house.

Sage Spray~
Some people prefer to use sage Spray. Which is Sage Oils mixed with purified water. You can purchase this at my Etsy Shop. My Sage Spray has bits of Sage mixed in with it.  It is the same process as using a Sage Smudge Stick, Make sure you go from floor to the ceiling spray everywhere and dont forget any hidden spaces...etc. Using Sage Spray is also a fast way to cleanse a item or a Altar area.  People prefer this method again because alot dont like the smell of the Sage Smudge sticks. 

Sage Candle~
This is something I make and carry at my Etsy shop. I use natural Sage herb in the candle and these are great to burn in a area or room that you feel the energy is heavy. You can also use after using the Sage Smudge Stick for that extra Purification.  I also use my Sage candles when traveling I burn them in a Hotel room or where ever we might be if I feel the energy is heavy.  People that have stayed previously might have left their Negative energy behind and I burn the candle to rid of the energy and clear the room for a peaceful trip.

Lavender Spray~
Sometimes after the Saging process I like to use Lavender Spray. I also carry this at my Etsy shop it smells wonderful has a fresh Lavender scent and has Lavender Herbs blended in the spray. I use this after the Saging process because its a fresh scent and offers Peace, Calmness, And its very Soothing.
